OUR STORY
WHERE IT ALL BEGAN

CaptainWave was founded in 2022, though the idea began much earlier. While searching for a stylish, well-finished charter boat for his own operations, Arnold quickly saw a gap in the market: fibreglass yachts often lacked the practicality and compliance needed for commercial use, while many aluminium boats, though strong and capable, fell short in refinement and finish.
Having previously been involved in two liveaboard superyacht projects for a friend, spanning concept design and approvals through to construction, interior design, and supply coordination, Arnold saw first-hand how thoughtful design and disciplined execution could transform not only the look of a vessel, but also its functionality and long-term usability.
That experience led to one simple idea: an AMSA commercial aluminium boat should be able to meet survey requirements and still feel beautifully finished. Today, CaptainWave designs and builds aluminium vessels that combine durability, compliance, and practicality with a more refined, yacht-inspired standard of finish — for commercial operators, private owners, and fully customised projects.
BEYOND WHAT IS VISIBLE

In boat projects, the real difference often isn't in how the plans look, but in what can actually be delivered. Many compromises don't happen at the design stage — they show up during construction and final delivery, simply because some things are "not feasible locally," "hard to do," or "too costly."
At Captain Wave, we do our best to avoid that. For us, design is just the start; the key question is whether those ideas can be fully and faithfully realized. The result is a boat that, at delivery, looks and performs almost exactly as envisioned. Not "as good as possible," but exactly as it should be.
NO GUESSWORK. JUST PREDICTABLE RESULTS

In Aluminium boat building, the real difference often lies not in appearance, but in process. At Captain Wave, we believe confidence comes from clarity — knowing exactly what will be built, how it will perform, and why.
Our design journey begins with layout studies and comprehensive 3D models that allow owners to review and fine-tune every curve and transition — down to the routing of individual pipes and cables — ensuring each detail aligns with personal taste before construction begins.
